Senior Pics

Last weekend I went to Wymore and took pictures of my niece Britney for her senior pictures. It was my first time using my photography equipment. It took me a while to set everything up and figure out the lighting, but I believe I did a good job. I try to let my niece make most of the decisions about her pictures, because she knows what she wants her pictures to look like. We didn't plan on her dog, Shadow being a prop in the pics, but we did get some great shots with her and the dog. We still have a few inside pics to do and some outside pics. We are hoping to get those done in the next few weeks. Here are some of the pictures.

Herbal Tinctures

A herbal tincture is a liquid extract of an herb or combination of herbs. The herbs are soaked in a liquid extraction base, from 3-8 weeks. The liquid used most often to extract the properties of the herbs is commonly a drinking alcohol (such as vodka, brandy) of at least 80 percent alcohol content. Other liquids that can be used is water, witch hazel, and apple cider vinegar. The liquid depends on what type of tincture you will be making and what it will be used for. Fresh or dry herbs can be used in tinctures. The herb or herbs are placed in a jar with the liquid of choice for the extraction. They jars should be tightly sealed and shaken every day for 3-8 weeks depending on the tincture you are making. It's best to store your tincture jars, in a cool, dry, and dark place. If placed in sunlight or around heat the tincture may lose some of it's medicinal properties. When the herbs are finished soaking, the tincture is then drained using mesh cloth. The remaining liquid is a concentrated form of the herbs. This remaining liquid is the tincture. The tincture should be stored in dark colored glass bottles.

                                      Supplies I used.

Tinctures are used for many different health issues. They are fast and easy to take and enter the blood stream within minutes of being taken. They are concentrated so very little is needed at a time. They are easy to store and have a long shelf life (on average 3-5 years) which makes them more appealing to have around then dried herbs that have a much shorter shelf life. Tinctures are a great alternative medicines for those looking for a more nature based remedy to their ailments. They are also easy and cheap to make. I recently started making tinctures and I'm still learning about herbs, but it has been rather simple so far. I will be posting some tincture recipes on here in case anyone who reads this wants to try and make their own. Recipes will be in my next post.

Oh The Drama!

It still amazes me how people can run there mouths about me and then get angry that I comment back. If you can't take it then don't dish it out. Here's another tip, if you can't fight then don't threaten to or try to. You will just get hurt. I try not to get angry and don't want to fight anyone. I'm now trying to lead a peaceful life. However, if you step to me and start the fight, I will stomp you ass to protect myself. I hate violence after being exposed to it all my life. It's un-necassary, especially when it's over petty shit. Grow up and get over your grudges and drama. Why would anyone want to live their life with hate in their heart. I still say I hate people, but I don't spend all day thinking about hating them. If you comment about someone on a social media site and that person comments back, don't act shocked and say that person is harassing you. People have a right to defend themselves against false allegations conjured up in the minds of people that are immature. And you can't blame someone for starting fights and arguments when if you are the one who started all the drama. Grudges are a waste of time, so stop living in the past, learn to forgive, and you all can move on with your separate lives. If you don't there will never be closure and the bickering will continue. Just because you are related too a person, doesn't make them your family. Family are those friends in family that are there for you when you need them, not the blood related relatives that use you and that will turn on you over anything. I've kicked a few people out of my life. I don't care for all the drama and bullshit that comes with being friends or family with them. It's just not worth the energy or time. I have spent a little time commenting back to people who hate me for no good reason, and that's as far as it goes. I don't sit and dwell on it all day. I have other things to do. I don't live my life just to harass people, like I've been accused of doing. If those folks only knew how few times they cross my mind. I have a life to live. I don't think making a few comments to defend yourself qualifies as harassment. The few minutes of time I've spent talking about this has been too much time and so I will leave it at that and move on. Some people will just never grow up and stop acting childish and bickering like school children when they don't get there way. You can't change stupidity so the best thing to do is move on and let them make fools of themselves. Find peace and love in your life knowing you're a good person while they live a life with hate in their hearts. Peace and love to everyone.

The Nerve Of Some People!!!

I don't like hating people, but it's hard not to when people you despise talk about your loved ones who have past like they cared so much about them, when they didn't. I can't stand fake ass people. You know the type of person who tries to come off as a caring and decent person, when really they are selfish and heartless. Every one knows a person or a few people like this. I don't like violence, but in the cases of people like this, it should be legal to reach out your hand and smack them. I have a few people like this in my family. My sister Angel Graham, her husband Darrell Graham, my brother Jimmy King, Jr., and his wife Ashley King. They act like they are better then every one when they aren't. The bad things they like to say about others are lies and really they are the ones who are guilty of the things they accuse others of doing. It's amazing how dilusional these people are. And what's sad is the world is full of these ignorant, selfish fools. It doesn't matter where you live or who you are, every one knows some body like this. Heck, a lot of us know several people like this. Since when is being bat shit crazy the norm? Just because you believe in your head you are right, it doesn't mean that you are. And what is with acting like they care about people when they don't. First time the relationship hits a bump they stab you in the back and thinkit is ok. Sorry about the rant, but damn, the nerve of some people!

If I Won The Lottery

I was sitting here wondering what I would do if I won the lottery. I came up with the following list.

1. Buy homes for my family, my sister's family, and my mother.

2. Buy newer, better running vehicles for all of us.

3. Put money aside for college for my kids and my sister's kids.

4. Buy an all black Dodge Challenger for myself.

5. Open my own Pagan store as a family business and open a part-time photography studio.

6. Buy a vacation home in historic Salem, Massachusetts.

7. Visit family on the East Coast 3-4 times a year.

8. Give donations to charities of my choice.

9. Tour the U.S. to visit historical sites.

10. Rub my new found wealth in the faces of those who I despise.

I will probably never win the lottery or get the chance to do most of the things on this list, but a woman has to have dreams.
